YOUR CHALLENGE AT WIRE 

Be ready to play an essential role by joining our engineering team in Berlin. You will create first milestones for Wire and become a pioneer in transforming how organizations and governments communicate securely. You will join the Core Library chapter at Wire and work in a tight knit calling experience team (currently two people), alongside other developers working on support libraries for our frontend teams. You’ll be expanding our end-to-end encryption calling experience, which operates in a federated environment and is deployed to all major platforms (iOS, Android, Web and Desktop). Your new area of expertise:

• You’ll work on high performance server and client code written in C
• You’ll write and evolve well maintained library code
• You’ll architect new calling protocols which maintain strong security
• You’ll architect solutions involving complex network topologies
• You’ll work on audio/video processing and WebRTC

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• You have experience coding in C
• Experience with audio/video processing is a plus
• You have experience with coding best practices, including reviews, automated tooling, writing documentation
• You have the ability to communicate & discuss complex topics
• You’re passionate about security, privacy, intuitive design, and protecting digital assets
• You have the ability to work with a remote/hybrid team
